I think I hit a plateau
Not much has changed in the past week or so. I'm still getting to the gym almost daily, and I'm eating healthier, but I haven't lost any weight the week.
Last time I posted I said that I had lost 5 more pounds. For the next couple of days after that post I lost an additional 3 pounds, but since then I haven't lost a single pound. I've been at 230 for about a week now.
I'm not really concerned because I read somewhere that it is normal for person's to "plateau" several time during weight loss.
One weird thing that I've noticed is that it takes very little for me to get "full" now. Like the other day I was starving for a snack in my house, and all that we had were 50g bags of chips (bad, I know). So I decided to have a bag, and I couldn't even finish them. Before I began this journey I could have sat down and eaten 4 or 5 bags of chips in one sitting.
Cheers to stomach shrinkage!

Hi!!! I don't speak english (i am brasilian), but i beleave in you. Go to the victory.
Don't get discouraged, I've been fighting my weight for years and yes you do plateau on occasion. You'll get past it.
I really hope you stick with it-- you will feel so healthy. It is all about the long-term goal- the race. If you can take each day, each snack, each meal, one at a time, then that is a huge victory, and those will really add-up.
The whole foundation for the job of losing weight is that a person has to change these things: first, your whole relationship to why you eat has to change. Do you overeat because of boredom? Are you too lazy and unorganized to cook a good meal? Are you really aware about what you eat? Second, start to excercise. walking,Tai Chi. Do not rely on gyms all the time. Do exercise that can be done at home for free! Thirdly, and very important is to work on your spiritual side, your soul, your being:who you really are. Be truthful with yourself and to others. It just isn't about religion, it is about the real person.
I have lost weight slowly , at a rate of five pounds per month. I feel I but it on slowly so it will come off slowly. I reevaluated how and what I ate and why.
I started to walk more and to learn Tai Chi and I have changed things about myself that were negitive. Each day I try to stick to good eating habits. I have lost 32 pounds and have 18 more to go.If I eat something like pie I enjoy a small piece and no guilt. You can do it.i
Keep at it!! It will come off!! You can do it!! ARe you exercising??
Hugs,
TnT
hey jeff that is a really cute picture of you.
plateaus suck. but hang in there, it will come.
stick with it!
I lost 14pounds so far... but for the last three weeks it looked like I hadn't lost anything at all - then Whoomp it all came off at once. If the scales aren't moving and you're doing all the right things, then think about how you're feeling - are things fitting better, do you have more energy? It's the only way to tell sometimes - and these are the things that make it worth doing anyhow - not some arbirary figure on a scale!
GOOD LUCK!
hey, just thought I would add to this same situation,,always been over weight, now 42,still over 200...its all in how your clothes fit,if the jeans are loose, and feel comfortable,,then we are doing something right....Hang in there, soon your jeans will be brand new,,a few sizes smaller..Hang in there!! and myself hope to buy that smaller pair if jeans..thanks.
